Consumers Negligence Causes Auto Part Disorder - Car Care Council
The Car Care Council (CCC) reported on January 11 this year that results of vehicle check-up events during Car Care Aware Fairs across the US in April and October 2006 revealed that consumer negligence is the main cause auto part disorders.
According to them, nearly 9 out of 10 vehicles need service or parts, underscoring the huge untapped DIY and DIFM sales opportunities for the automotive aftermarket. The unsatisfactory condition of vehicles also reinforces the continued need for consumer education about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair.
Car Care Council Executive Director Rich White said "Vehicle check-up events are typically the focus of Car Care Aware Fairs sponsored by repair shops, parts stores, distributors in cooperation with local vocational schools, media, civic groups and others. While these events are free to consumers and serve as community-relations builders, most aftermarket businesses who participate experience an increase in sales and customers as a result."
In an analysis of nearly 1,000 vehicle inspection forms, submitted from event coordinators in 16 states, results showed 88 percent of the vehicles checked during National Car Care Month in April and Fall Car Care Month in October needed parts replacement, service or fluids. The top problem areas were motor oil, windshield wipers, air filters, belts and hoses and lights.
Upon checking lubricants and fluids, the three top failure rates were: low, overfull or dirty motor oil at 30 percent, inadequate washer fluid levels at 28 percent, and low, leaky or dirty coolant at 28 percent. Transmission, brake, power steering and clutch fluids were also checked and had failure rates of 26 percent and below.
Approximately 15 percent of vehicles had front windshield wiper failures and 9 percent needed service to rear wipers.
At least one belt was reported as unsatisfactory in 22 percent of the vehicles inspected and 14 percent required at least one new hose. New air filters were needed in 25 percent of the vehicles, while 8 percent needed new PVC filters. The "check engine" light was on in 8 percent of the vehicles.
Battery cables, clamps and terminals needed maintenance in 17 percent of the vehicles inspected, while 9 percent of the batteries were not properly held down. Eleven percent had either a green, dark or clear/yellow charge indicator light.
Improperly inflated tires were found on 20 percent of the cars and 11 percent had worn tread and were in need of replacement.

Programming the Diesel Performance
Want to squeeze every little amount of fuel in your fuel tanks? Want to gain every last ounce of power from your engines? Pressure means that the fuel rail lines pressure is increased, so more fuel is injected (creating more power), but at the same time having more pressure on the fuel when it gets to the injector helps it create a finer mist or atomize, so that the fuel exits the finer holes in the injector tips. The improved atomization also helps the fuel to get mixed even better with the air that enters the cylinder and is able to extract more power out from the fuel.
Most diesel performance chips use two or even three of these techniques. By essentially adding a lot more fuel and improving how the engine burns them, the diesel performance chips can increase both power and economy.

There is an auto auction lot only minutes away from my house and I pass it almost every day. It’s an impressive sight, because the lot deals with cars by the hundreds, and they always pass through the lot very quickly--few of them remain for much longer than a week. They arrive after being traded in, repossessed or seized, stay unless reclaimed, and are disposed off in the weekly auto auctions. This lets the vehicles be resold to used car dealerships or just people looking for good deals. I soon learned that an auto auction is where many used car dealerships get the cars for their inventory.
Most auto auctions are not open to the public, and are attended by authorized car dealers. Sometimes you can get complimentary passes to these closed auctions, but it is not very likely. You may also be able to get a dealer to go to the auction and to bid on a particular vehicle for you. Take note that this particular method may not see immediate results. I have been able to purchase an auctioned vehicle through a dealer in this way, but it took several weeks before he could obtain for me a satisfactory used car with fair mileage and the right features. But at least I was able to get a used car for a lower price than I would have gotten otherwise--though it was not dirt cheap. The car was in fairly good running condition as well.

Still, it is a very good idea to do your own vehicle check if you are thinking of placing a bid on a car. You can get an auto’s vehicle identification number during the inspection period before the auction (usually a day or two before). Run the number through a website such as Carfax and you will get a vehicle history report that will tell you if the car has a clean title, and also note if it has been in any accidents or had other problems.

International alliances and cooperation means more travel, more meetings and more and more shared projects and platforms. There are various options available to employers to enhance their employees' skills in English, especially to those in Japan, Korea and China. The best option has to be one-to-one tuition in the UK, Australia or the US. Good training (which can also be carried out in-house, or in a language school either 'at home' or abroad) enables international experts to communicate easily and with confidence, so that a car-makers' ideas and agenda are definitely put forward.
Too often during my career in the industry I have watched Japanese colleagues struggling to communicate their point of view (and therefore that of their employers!) to people from very foreign cultures. My favourite example of this is sitting in a car in the UK, next to a Turkish gentleman, and hearing one half of a conversation he was having with a Vietnamese gentleman who was speaking from his desk in France where he works for a German company – all about a project for a French customer for parts that would be manufactured in Turkey for a Romanian factory! All of this was in ENGLISH!

Aromatic, Soothing Experience – in Your Car
Friction occurs once the car starts to move. Normally, friction causes nose. As an aftermath, an unpleasant odor will follow. This is most inevitable in car racing. But nothing is impossible in today’s era.
Enter the scented tires. As the result of a year's research and the use heat resistant oils to stay smelling sweet, the Kumho Ecsta DX Aroma, as its last name suggests, doesn't smell like regular black rubber. The first tire scent to be sold will be lavender, with orange and jasmine scents to come later. Reports say that Kumho’s target market is the circle of female car enthusiasts, as they prefer stress free experience while driving. Now You Too Can Beat The Speeding Tickets - Easy Tips To Help You
So you are it yet again, cruising down the highway in your stylish Porsche 911 Turbo, with the sun roof open and the wind blowing through your hair. It's Friday today, and you're all stoked up as the weekend lies ahead. Everything seems just perfect! But, then it happens. There it is again, that menacing sound struggling to drown out your CD player. Just when you shoot a quick glance at your rearview mirror, that perfectly happy face turns into a tight frown. Sure we all know that mean...oh boy! you are been pulled over. How you wish it was not those annoying red and blue lights again. Perhaps you change lanes and hopes he goes the other away, but as it turns out he's in fact chasing you.
Ah, those wonderful speeding tickets. Sure, you were going 76 in a 65 lane. Or maybe you were simply trying to keep up with the flow of traffic. Hey, whatever you do, "thank you" is the last word you need to say, after he passes you the ticket. Now who doesn't hate speeding tickets, that's for sure everyone does! Personally, no matter who you are or how wealthy you are, no one wants those dreadful speeding tickets. Sure, I remember the first time I received one when I was 19 years old. I was cruising home from college in my neat little Mazda Miata, which was one of those fun cars to drive in. Unfortunately cops are always looking out for sports cars. And apparently the colors red and black seem to get the worst.
Though it may have seemed quite inevitable, I was pulled over and handed the lousy speeding ticket. No matter how much I dreaded and hoped, I still got stuck with it. Now what to do? The next thing I did was talk to my older brother about speeding tickets, and then decided to show up in court and plead it out. My court date arrived and I must admit that I was quite nervous.
Luckily the judge turned out to be rather compassionate. I pleaded with her and she said it will not go against my record. At the end, I had to pay up a ticket fee and court costs, but that was the end of it. Showing up at court was a better choice rather than simply sending in a payment. In any case when it comes to speeding tickets, you clearly and simply don't want them. This can cause your insurance to shoot up! Now, that's not good for the old bank account.
